Acceptable Use Policy
Effective 1 January 2026 · Pingtail Partners
This policy sets out what may and may not be done using services operated by Pingtail Partners. It applies to every account, and breaching it can result in suspension. Because some of our products run on third-party platforms, their rules apply on top of ours.
1. Messaging and consent
Where you use our services to message people, you must have a lawful basis and the recipient's consent to be contacted. Specifically, you must not:
- Send unsolicited bulk or promotional messages to people who have not opted in.
- Upload or message contact lists that were bought, scraped, or obtained without the contacts' knowledge.
- Ignore an opt-out. When someone asks to stop receiving messages, that request must be honoured promptly.
- Disguise who is sending the message or impersonate another business.
2. Prohibited goods and services
You may not use our services to sell, advertise or facilitate:
- Anything illegal under Indian law or the law where your customer is located.
- Weapons, ammunition, explosives, or controlled drugs.
- Counterfeit goods, or goods that infringe someone else's trademark or copyright.
- Adult content, gambling, or unlicensed financial and healthcare products.
- Anything prohibited by the commerce and messaging policies of platforms we build on.
3. Fraud and deception
Do not use our services to deceive people. This includes misrepresenting what a product is, advertising prices or delivery terms you do not intend to honour, running deceptive affiliate or attribution schemes, or phishing for credentials or payment details.
4. System integrity
You must not:
- Probe, scan, or attempt to breach our systems or those of our providers.
- Send load intended to degrade or disrupt the service for others.
- Reverse engineer, resell or sublicense the service except as agreed in writing.
- Use automated means to extract data beyond the interfaces we provide.
5. Data handling
You are responsible for the personal data you bring into our services. You must have the rights and consents needed for us to process it on your behalf, must not upload sensitive categories of data unless we have agreed to it in writing, and must tell us promptly if you become aware of a breach affecting data in your account.
6. Enforcement
Where we believe this policy has been breached we may ask you to correct it, restrict features, or suspend the account. For serious breaches — particularly those creating legal risk, harming recipients, or threatening our standing with a platform we depend on — we may suspend immediately and without notice. We will tell you what happened and, where the breach can be remedied, what would be needed to restore access. Reports of misuse can be sent to dipa@pingtail.com.
